Fred Willard really makes me laugh.

They're doing a recreation of a focus group for the Wizard of Oz with the "Christopher Guest and friends" group that did Best in Show and A Mighty Wind.

Nice.

Tina Fey and Bradley Cooper are presenting.

Tina really does look great. Bradley Cooper looks like Rhett Butler. ???

Film Editing.

Without a Bourne franchise entrant, I couldn't say. Probably chick who does all Scorsese's films.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo wins (they did Social Network last year)

Action films always win this category. Why? Same reason period films always win costumes, I guess-- their contribution is really obvious.

Oops. Social network isn't really an action film, is it?

Hugo wins for Sound Editing.

That's 3, HomerJay.

Those guys really look like they work in sound. And no, I can't really explain that.

Sound mixing.

Do any of the judges really know what they're listening for on this one? I get it in theory, but I don't think I'd know how to discern good mixing from bad in a film.

Hugo! Homer, that's 4!

Everyone loves Marty! Do they REALLY love Marty? Or do they love working on his projects/the prestige.

He seems tightly wound. And isn't he sort of like Monk-- a little socially weird, lots of OCD tics?

Maybe that's part of his charm.

The Muppets. :sigh:

Piggy's voice is wrong. Why? Frank Oz didn't die.

Am I wrong for feeling so negatively towards new Muppets? Is it tiresome at this point to hear anyone my age or thereabouts whining about someone raping my childhood?

Yes, it's true-- they're evoking each nominated film with gymnastics and interpretive dance.

It was surprisingly good. And done in tasteful grayscale with pops of red.

The Iron Man duo-- Gwyneth and Robert Downey Jr.

He looks foxy. No surprise there, right?

Black tux, black shirt, sparkly bow-tie. Sounds awful, but he makes it work.

She is insufferable. And not in a cute way, like he is.
