Its not a Python movie.

That shower scene though. Fuck. I'd forgotten about that.

I haven't seen that film since it came out almost 20 years ago. I was only beginning to have wanks then.

I wonder if I can find it.

It was pretty funny. And strange. And the ending, well...

It's up for an Academy Award, so I wanted to see it before the awards tomorrow night. We're watching the Hurt Locker tonight.
I watched it last night as well. I had no idea it was set in the late sixties. Holy shit that brought back memories
All the details were perfect in this respect.
tattuchu wrote:I liked the movie. It was a great drama, and at the same time very funny. But I kept waiting for something to happen. I mean, it seemed like the tension kept building and building, and I was kinda expecting the lead character to, like, snap or something as his life fell about before his eyes. I thought for sure that in an effort to regain control, in response to his feeling more and more powerless, he'd finally resort to violence. This is a Coen brothers movie after all. But nothing, really, just...

Mai, did you notice that the lead character sounded a lot like Elijah Wood :ask:
I liked the movie too, but in a very vague way. I didn't notice that the lead sounded like Elijah either. :dono:

Never heard the word tsuris before - perfect word for the character.

Maybe I should watch it again. It's not like I paid for it or anything. :shifty:

I fell asleep half way through. I suppose I might try to watch the last half again today but what I did see left me with the same feeling you had.

I've heard things about Hurt Locker from friends. "Cowboy movie" is the most common comment.

I heard Redacted is a great war movie. Never heard of it myself. I have it here now. Any opinions before I bother watching it?

They're Python films in that they have Python members in them. That's all I meant :dono:
Filming that shower scene musta been awful rough on Robbie Coltraine

It was used in the film. I only know that because a glossary of Yiddish words used in the film were included as an extra on the DVD :hehe:

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Bill O'Reilly hates it...
...Brian De Palma's unruly Redacted, which provoked outrage in the United States, with Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly denouncing the director as 'a true villain in our country'.
...good enough for me

It's got a shower scene that goes off the wank-o-meter.
