It did air? :eddy:

I think I remember Jamie and Adam telling the press that they wouldn't air the episode after the incident. I guess the producers changed their mind. :dunno:

I think they may be running out of good myths too. They still haven't topped blowing up the cement truck.
I don't know about that. They did almost kill a few people when a stray cannonball went into a populated neighbourhood. :? Suppose it depends how you would define "topping". It never aired obviously, but it certainly was entertaining to hear about it in a scary sort of way.
It did air.
Yeah, I saw that one, too.
They couldn't bury that one, they needed to say that they learned from it and made the needed changes.

But no one was nearby, thankfully.
Yeah, that was all over the newspapers here - quite the kerfuffle!

I think Zilla's right-- no way you could have a dangerous accident like that and then NOT air the show-- too much bad publicity if it looked like they were trying to brush that one under the rug.

Exactly. The more upfront they could be in admitting the accident the better, leaving less room for people to fill in knowledge gaps with imaginings.

Yeah. Plus it's a great example for why they usually do all their safety stuff. A teachable moment, as they say.

They also promised they wouldn't air the footage they had filmed of the near-catastrophic cannon shot.
Like I said, they changed their minds.

They did air it on November 11, 2012, which I missed. :(
