1) The Way Back. Beautifully shot but a little dull.
2) Die Hard
3) The Expendables. Tins of corned beef don't make movies but if they did...

I'm torn between watching that or ichi the killer tonight. Might do both
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Hey everyone, would you be willing to put a comment, or even just a simple - or + sign next to the movies you disliked and liked, respectively? There's so many new movies for me to pick from on your lists now, and I'd like to know which ones to get.

Yes, it's a really good film I thought ... quite an intensely personal subject dealt with in a manner as gentle and subtle as the character Bill Murray portrays so well.

Mai, I'm a bit lazy with the reviews :pardon: ... I'll try to expand a little on my brief comments in future ...

IMDB is useful for getting a broad range of viewer reviews, I find.

I adored it! I am a big fan of Jarmusch and that is him at his best. I absolutely adored the complete ambiguity of it - you followed everything that happened but never really learned much about anything and only a little of the characters' backstory was filled in - just like in real life. Mix in some beautifully underplayed character acting, a brilliant and eclectic music score and the deliberately slow-paced direction and I was mesmerised. It was :awesome:

About me: Twoflower is the optimistic-but-naive tourist. He often runs into danger, being certain that nothing bad will happen to him since he is not involved. He also believes in the fundamental goodness of human nature and that all problems can be resolved, if all parties show good will and cooperate.

I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life
