In about 15 minutes, The Germans episode of Fawlty Towers. Don't mention the war!

BBC's "In Search Of Satan" with Andy Hamilton. This is a repeat for me as the details are getting fuzzy (I dialogue a lot with people of faith and of no faith.) Anyway, highly recommended. Unfortunately, the person who reposted these mucked up the 4th + 5th a bit. (I've got the original posts which, afaik, are properly split; if someone wants me to post those, ask.) This is the development of the mythos of Satan from early Judaism through High Christianity.

MiM, who is hauling a couple of long and thick pieces of wood outdoors, while I'm inside keeping an eye on the fireplace.

Seinfeld rerun. Well, it was on. The soundtrack is slightly off. Just enough to see it.

Possibly the best TV crime drama I have seen in five years or more - a Danish/Swedish production called The Bridge.

I came to it late having heard a glowing review on the radio yesterday, so I am having to watch all the episodes on Iplayer - and quickly - because it is only going to be up for a few more days. Coming out ion DVD though.

If you can, watch it.

I've got into that recently, after someone on here mentioned it. It's really quite good.
[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

One of my brothers recommended this to me as well a few weeks ago. I consciously gave it a miss when it was on, because I had too many other things to watch at the time.

Get the DVD, or wait for the re-runs? :eddy:

I'm told, from a person whose tastes are semi-reliable, that Breaking Bad seasons one and two are the seasons worth watching. I'm into the Korean drama "Winter Sonata" at the moment, though it's slow going as I'm not very disciplined about my entertainments. That being said, even over only three episodes, it's obvious why Winter Sonata was such a success — it is, in no uncertain terms, wonderful.

Beyond that, I'm watching a bunch of progress bars as I transfer media to a new, USB 3.0 32 GB flash stick. Once that is done, I'll likely watch a bunch of documentaries and a collection of music videos I'd like to watch on my 40" LCD.

I'm already deep in my cups, having polished off the last of my tequila (and the liquor stores being closed this late), so that itinerary could change with the wind. Up next, a PBS documentary on the brain, and a PBS documentary about "Nature's Giants" on the monster python (which I glanced at, visually, as I was doing other things, and it looked excellent; another in the series, on the giant marine squid, was excellent).

I watched "The Grey" last night. They should have called it, "Teh Ghey." It was bad. It was like somebody wrote a man versus nature and the arctic story, realized how boring it was, and then somebody in meeting suggested, "Hey! I know! Let's add rabid, psychotic wolves to the story!" And all the yes men agreed excitedly. For a wolf story, there was surprisingly little wolf. And for an adventure story, surprisingly little adventure. For an action picture, there was a godawful lot of talking. The first 10 minutes is nothing but Liam Neeson droning on in stream of consciousness. Don't get me wrong, I could listen to Liam Neeson read the ingredients list off canned goods for two hours and be happy, but I was hoping for things promised. And the wolves themselves were the worst part; I lost my willing suspension of disbelief very early on. I kept expecting to hear "It's a Small World," as I was sure I was back at Disney World.

In some ways it reminded me of a similar movie, "The Red Tent". Except that The Red Tent is a great film. And The Grey most assuredly is not. I give it, three-and-1/2 thumbs down.
