Here in the US, we only had a select few Brit shows -- from back in the day, we had Benny Hill (which as a lad, I loved because of the partial nudity and lingerie scenes). Today, though, Benny Hill would never pass Apelust scrutiny, what with the rampant misogyny.

I mean, that poor woman -- just trying to do her job and sing and do a dance, and she is subjected to leering and pawing by Benny and his sidekick...lol

And, all the times they just tore the clothes off of unsuspecting women, leaving only lingerie????? Rape culture!!!!

But, we also had Monty Python's flying circus, and some other programs over the years. Keeping Up Appearances is still on, and sometimes even "Are You Being Served?" set in a department store.
