No, it ran for one series that was a sort of western set in space. By Joss Whedon of Buffy fame.
A tragedy that it was dropped by Fox, because the idiots played the series out of order on the first run. A huge mistake, because there were so many story arcs to explore, most of the characters were funny, charming, disturbed and very well acted. It grew in popularity when the DVD sales went mental and eventually spawned the film "Serenity". Well worth a watch, IMHO.

"Coupling" with Sarah Alexander is rather good. It's not recent either but I enjoy the funny bante in itr.
