36) Snow White and the Huntsman. Waste of time. Pretty film to look at, but empty and hollow. Did not give a shit about any of the characters. Cliche-ridden. Boring as hell. I couldn't even sit through the whole thing. Left the theater right as the climactic battle scene started. Didn't care. Could not care less. Not a single fuck was given.
I give it two out of five dwarves-but-not-dwarves for the pretty pictures and lovely scenery. And that's more than it deserves.

2. Infinity - ***½ - 1996 - w: Patricia Broderick d: Matthew Broderick - Something of a condensing of "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman" and "What Do You Care What Other People Think?", focusing more on the relationship between Feynman and his first wife Arlene than on... well, on the things that made Richard Feynman the near-mythic figure he is. Alamogordo is really only there as a backdrop; his adventures there are all but neglected. Even so, we get tantalizing glimpses of Feynman the non-lateral thinker, Feynman the educator, and even Feynman the bongo fiend. The only downside is that Feynman seems to understated for the way we've come to know him -- we do not see Feynman the lockpick, for example and only get tiny glimpses of Feynman the joker and Feynman the head of the calculator department.

37) Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol. Fantastic cast, lots of fun. Quite enjoyed this.
I give it four out of five closeted homosexuals.

How many movies can I count the recent Smithees XXI and MegaMetaSmithees IV as? Ten hours of the worst cinema has to offer has to be worth something... XD

38) Dead Man's Shoes. Interesting fairly fresh take on yer standard revenge yarn. Certainly worth a watch. Didn't leave much of an impression, though.
I give it three out of five Citroens.

39) The Divide. Post apocalyptic suspense drama. Not bad. Good looking film. Good cast and acting.
I give it three out of five dismembered corpses.

40) Prometheus. Absolutely gorgeous film. Expected more story-wise. And if you've seen one Aliens film, you've seen them all. Still worthwhile.
I give it four out of five emergency surgeries.

41) The Emerald Forest. Like Boorman's Excalibur, it was a very beautiful film, but unintentionally silly at times. The acting at the start was atrocious. The natives were actually better actors, once we got into the forest. And John Boorman's son Charley carried the film well enough in his lead role.
I give it three and a half out of five Hope and Glorys.

42) Lord of the Flies (1989). Well I've read the book and seen the earlier B&W film, so there were really no surprises here. But the cast did a really fine job acting this Americanized version out. The original was probably a better film overall, but this one was definitely better acted. Balthazar Getty was especially good as Ralph.
Fairly faithful to the book, though some liberties were taken.
Beautifully shot.
Sadly, because the story was changed from English schoolboys to American military school cadets, the highlight of the original story, The Story of Camberley, was excluded. Ah, well.
I give it four out of five glow sticks.

43) There's Something About Mary. Haven't watched this in many years. Was worried it wouldn't hold up, but found it still very funny.
I give it four out of five franks and beans. Yes, franks and beans.

44) John Carter. Why the bad rap? I thought this film was fucking awesome. It gave me a nerdgasm!
I give it four out of five Martian doggies.

Because it made absolutely no sense what-so-ever.
Because it was a glorified pantomime.
Because no one could act.
Etc...

45) Shakes the Clown. Bobcat Goldthwait as an alcoholic clown. First scene is Shakes getting pissed on in the face by a kid. Sounds awesome, right? But not as funny as I thought it'd be. Surprisingly poignant at times, though. I liked it overall, but I wanted to like it more than I actually ended up liking it.
I give it three out of four cream pies.
