"Once upon a time, a woman was picking up firewood. She came upon a poisonous snake frozen in the snow. She took the snake home and nursed it back to health. One day the snake bit her on the cheek. As she lay dying, she asked the snake, "Why have you done this to me?" And the snake answered, "Look, bitch, you knew I was a snake." "

Arresting Officer: This is your receipt for your husband... and this is my receipt for your receipt.
Sam Lowry: I only know you got the wrong man.
Jack Lint: Information Transit got the wrong man. I got the *right* man. The wrong one was delivered to me as the right man, I accepted him on good faith as the right man. Was I wrong?
Kurtzmann: Information Retrieval has got him down as "inoperative." And there's another one - security has got him down as "excised." Administration has got him down as "completed."
Sam Lowry: He's dead.

I bought the theatrical releases and kept them only until the extended versions came out. Besides the extra footage in the film I could nerd-out on the behind the scenes stuff.Ronja wrote:Abso-fracking-lutely!Gawdzilla wrote:Extended version only.Coito ergo sum wrote:http://www.nzvideos.org/lordfellowshipfront.JPG![]()

Re: Recommend me a film.
After we saw FoTR in the movies and then bought the extended version home, we only bought the extended versions of TTT and RoTK (then again, we have a home theater - maybe the smallest in this country: 1.8mx2m, but that is just enough for two grownups and two kids). I've lost count of how many times I've watched the films, favorite scenes or favorite extras. The documentary about the horses in TTT and every single documentary about bigatures, prosthetics and clothes...Gawdzilla wrote:I bought the theatrical releases and kept them only until the extended versions came out. I'm a complete sucker for sci-fi and fantasy - too much non-fiction reading (and even educational videos) in my everyday life, I guess (and two kids who love a good story only encourage me

I haven't seen this for a while, but it just popped into my head and I'm definitely going to watch it again sometime this week.

Re: Recommend me a film.
Oh, I missed this, sowwy! I gave my theatrical releases to the local veterans home when the extended versions came out. Brenda was as big a nerd as I was about the books, so we had fun with the movies. In the theaters we'd get nasty looks for saying the lines before the actor could get them out.Ronja wrote:After we saw FoTR in the movies and then bought the extended version home, we only bought the extended versions of TTT and RoTK (then again, we have a home theater - maybe the smallest in this country: 1.8mx2m, but that is just enough for two grownups and two kids).
