The first episode of the first series of The Goon Show was broadcast in May 1951. How time has flown!

I was just born when it started! But I listen to it when I was old enough to. It is fair to say that pretty well all UK comedy, certainly of the Monty python oriented type started with the Goons. Its still funny today I think!

The Goons comedy is timeless. Even now they are still funny! :hehe:

It was my roomie in the RAF who introduced me to these guys, back in 1990.

I grew up with them myself. I was just weird for someone to say how time flies about something that pre-dates my existence and was always there for me like blue skies.
