Give me the wine , I don't need the bread
Re: Sucker Punch.
The most worrying aspect is that it took two people to write the script.

Re: Sucker Punch.
I love Lance Hendricksen. "He has his own face."
Re: Sucker Punch.
My guess is it will be a horrible, horrible story but I'll watch the movie at least twice.
Who needs a signature anyway?

2 days before release and no reviews - never a good sign.

Reviewed.
Now I really want to see this!
Sucker Punch is such a bad movie that it raises the bar for what counts as terrible. That's because there's a horrific genius in it. This film will crystallize for you all those half-formed thoughts about what's wrong with Hollywood
If you like licking the goo out of a dormitory shower drain, you're going to love the whack-a-mole subtlety of Snyder's social critique.
This is a failed movie about why movies fail

Come on guys, these are the films to watch knowing that they are so bad, they might be funny. I will probably get a couple of friends and watch it over junk food...
No I have to disagree.
Usually I know extactly what you are talking about. I hate people who judge (say,Dawn of the Dead) and say "oh what a load of mindless zombie violence crap", by completely missing the point that the film is meant to be completely mindless zombie violence crap. So basically the film succeeds at what it's meant to do. I am a BIG fan of crappy films, low budget films, low acting talent films, low brow films, films that don't take themselves seriously and are just good old fashioned sordid fun.
But watch this film, it's meant to be more. Zach Snider tries to make it a meaningful storyline with a depth to the acting, and it's just not. And tack onto that the heinous crime in my opinion of wholesale rape and pillage of practically every visual and creative aspect to the film and all it's fantasy lands is just fucking ridiculous. It's like he just cut together about ten of the best sci-fi films/video games of the last decade and came out with this.
I'd be reluctant to even rent it on dvd. Borrow a copy from a friend if finding a nice hard wall to repeatedly bludgeon your head off isn't available.
