So, Kirk still rules.

Of the two captains, only one of them realized that he was so out of his league that he had to figure out how to twist time to bring the other back to bail his sorry, bald ass out.
"Generations"? I don't remember it that way.

I never saw the attraction of Star Trek. I first saw the show in 1968, in Libya of all places. In those days (pre-Gaddafi], the Americans had an air base just outside Tripoli, and although the TV signal was not supposed to be strong enough for it to be received outside the base, we were able to watch. We must have been bored, because it was unrelenting dross, out of which Star Trek did not stand. At least The Next Generation had better actors, especially Stewart, and much more interesting storylines. Shatner couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.

The way to dusty death. Out, out brief candle
Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing. [
