Re: The spouse is making me go to a movie
The movie was about the mental health problems (Dennis) of a former prime minister. Falkland island footage was just news reel stuff. She spent a minute in the war room. Plot is a flashbacky thing that works most of the time but allows them to skip pieces of her life. Will put the mental health solution in a spoiler below.

Wiki says:
Further flashbacks examine historical events during her time as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom including the rising unemployment due to her monetarist policies and the tight 1981 budget (over the misgivings of "wet" members of her Cabinet - Ian Gilmour, Francis Pym, Michael Heseltine and Jim Prior), the Brixton Riots of 1981, the miners' strike of 1984-5, and the bombing of the Grand Hotel during the 1984 Conservative Party Conference, at which she and Denis were almost killed.

Oh, I know now. This is Ms. Streep's latest flick, isn't it? I hope she's got Maggie's accent right ...

My son is studying political science. Maybe he can just stay in the background and write speeches and pull strings?

Quite true. And if your son is happy with his career path, more power to him. Just tell him to keep a picture of Faust on his desk.Tero wrote:As long as a paycheck is involved. No need to sell your soul for nothing.
