Not actually an RDF refugee!

Post by Double Helix » Sat Feb 27, 2010 12:02 am

I know, I know, it's amazing. All though, I did sort of come here as a result of that meltdown.

Anyway, I figured I'd give you a little bit longer an introduction of myself than what I've seen around here, that way you won't have to be guessing. What? I can't possibly be the only one who does that to people I don't know.

I'm Sandra, I'm a biology student (as opposed to "something useful" according to my parents :D ) from Sweden, not really certain if the correct term is "undergrad", but I'm guessing it is. I'm a bit of a nerd (at least I think that's the right word, what's the difference between a nerd, a geek and a dork anyway?), which I guess shouldn't be the greatest surprise seeing as how I'm here writing this on a Friday night.

I actually used to be christian despite being born in Sweden, then I turned 13 (or something like that) and sort of became the typical swede which is more "religion is a non-issue, now let's not talk about it". I was that until I realized the world isn't Sweden, and religion is apparently not a non-issue so let's talk about it.

Yes, I know what you're wondering: "how long did it take to make that image?"
Answer: Far too long... And I'm little ashamed of that. Especially seeing as how it still looks more like an hourglass. :(
(Pfft, what do you 'you didn't wonder that'?)

I also happen to know that you're wondering where I am in that picture. It's actually a bus stop. Yes, turns out the only decent picture I have was taken at a bus stop like 5 months ago, and it's still pretty terrible...

Edit: I now see that someone happen to use pretty much the same title just before i did

Mister. But I'm from Southern Calfornia, so "Dude" is also appropriate.

And you're totally right. Let me dig something up.

Pasadena, home of the titular little old lady from the Jan and Dean song, and a place to run from at top speed if you value your life from early December 31st to about January 2nd. Freaking parade. You?

I've spent loads of time there.

I'm from Torrance, though I live in Northern CA now.
