I was an active member here a looooong time ago, and ran across an old bookmarks file and opened this up to see if the board was still active.

Anyway, I'm a musician, writer by hobby, enjoy the outdoors, and follow politics and international affairs pretty closely.

I'm off to poke around now, and get a feel for all these new members.

Thanks all -- it's been a hard few years, as my mom's SO died and she's descended into senescence. I've left the workforce to take care of her full time, and have some health issue of my own to manage -- but I'm six foot up and not under, so it's cool.

I appreciate the kind thoughts. It could be so much worse, I'm happy day-to-day. Life has a way of teaching us things. For me, the big lesson is patience; and that lesson is ongoing.
