Hello world
Hi,
I've lurked hereabouts since the RDF forum went down, where I used to lurk. It's about time I took the plunge and contributed something. I've also got to the point now where I'm designing some flyers to promote atheism and would appreciate some feedback before committing to print. Lots of people will probably
at the idea of promoting atheism with flyers but I keep getting them through the door for awful Christianity so why not for atheism? It might be a bit like an extreme sport - things could get interesting distributing atheistic flyers near religious buildings...anyway I'll start a thread in the atheism forum once I've uploaded some JPEGs. I just started work as a security guard and my (Nigerian) co-worker has been acting as if I don't exist ever since I told him I was an atheist (he asked within 30 seconds of meeting me, exclaiming "so many white people in this country don't believe in god - do you go to church?"). Now he's kicking up a fuss because they altered the shift patterns to accommodate the bus timetable - the new rota doesn't inconvenience him, it's just that it conveniences me, whos existence he can't tolerate. Bloody theists making my life difficult
...and breath. Anyway, good to be here, cheers.

Welcome, person! I just got a "Praise Jeebus" flyer put on my windshield today and thought about launching a counter-strike of my own. Would welcome your ideas.

Re: Hello world
Where is you? The trick with flyers is to get people to want to pick them up. One company here used to print one-half of a $100 bill and the message on the reverse. Then they'd be placed in strategic spots. People always picked them up.Halogenetic wrote:Hi,

Welcome to Ratz, Halo. Looking forward to seeing your designs. Where are you based?

Yeah a little offence never hurt anybody I mean it's not like people aren't surrounded with tales of evolution already. I'd be a bit more reluctant to distribute such flyers in the states or, well, Pakistan. No, but seriously, I'm well dangerous, just ask my tea cosy.Deersbee wrote:Welcome!

Re: Hello world
I'm living in Gloucester UK at the moment. That's a neat idea, except I'd be annoyed it was a fake money! Definitely a good idea to have an appealing image on the front and info on the back though. Maybe people would take a really nice picture home to stick it on the wall or make it as far as the coffee table.Gawdzilla wrote:Where is you?
