I think that is because I had been hearing and reading just these very words for months coming from an Oklahoman. I thought at the time that it was an affectation of the individual---but no. So do I. rEvolutionist has made some clear statements regarding the FUA here which is very woolly and a very grey area. The "play fair" rule can mean very different things to many people. Are we expected just keep pushing the boundaries until someone says "OH"?
I have been here quite often but there are seldom any decent topics to post on. Also the number of active members is always very low.
When I saw the wonder pair Seth and Gallstones his protector on RDF btw I wanted to warn the people here what they have invited in.
I personally do not dislike anyone on RS except Seth even our resident theists are more reasonable. The long drawn out discussions that was had with him on RDF and later RS were some of the worst I have ever experienced.
I am sure that the rational and normal people here will see very quickly what the quality of his postings is. The derails that he will cause in order to turn any thread into a vehicle for his propaganda will be immense and many.
Remember in Seth’s world anything left of the tea baggers is communist/fascist so be warned.
For him even an organisation like WHO (World Health Organisation) is communist and can’t be trusted.

If it's as bad as people are saying, we'll notice it without it being pointed out and deal with it. As it stands, I'm going to be very, very, very slow to judge Seth because I fear I might have been biased by all the negative stuff I've heard about him.

I love the smell of prophesy in the morning! Constant posting of propaganda by anyone will usually earn the poster a little play pen of their own into which all such derails can be deposited, if it becomes annoying to everyone else. Not my own personal favourite solution, but it has the support of many here, and mostly works.

Actually, it's 'play nice.' We do have a fairly short list of further rules and you can always ask if you have any questions.

Yes. If you're grown up and mentally well it should be easy not to be an asshole and actually play nice. So I think it works well for a site that (often) focuses on being a community rather than a knowledge base, debate corner or other type of forum.

I think Rationalia is a good place for mature people wanting a society to have fun, breathe out and relax in. I don't think we serve any other purpose, and I think that's a good thing.
Enjoying this forum is easier if you approach it with that intent.
