videoreverend introduction

Post by videoreverend » Mon May 25, 2009 8:02 pm

I was expelled from the Catholic Church for exposing my rationalia, so I'm hoping to find a welcoming party here.

The nutshell: Youngest of 10 kids, old-school, Pre-Vatican II, ROMAN Catholic family, 12 years of Catholic schools, some classes even still taught by nuns (only one still wore the penguin suit, however).

And all of this careful indoctrination unraveled with I went away to college and slept in one Sunday morning.

That led to me becoming a stand-up comic and doing lots of Catholic jokes. I think it all kind of backfired on them in the long run. Now I run a website that's a satire of Catholic confession, but I shan't post a link here because I don't want to be accused of spamming, and that's really not why I'm here. (If someone asks me to post the link, or I get specific moderator dispensation, I'll post away.)

Now I have a wife, two kids (not baptized, which was a HUGE family scandal) and two dogs. Life is good.

Looking forward to hanging out on the board. I've seen some pretty funny stuff so far, although my sock puppet is pissed.

Yes ... you've heard of doggie hell and doggie heaven, haven't you?
Bart : Is there a doggie hell?
Homer : Of course there is. If there is a doggie heaven, there has to be a hell.
Bart : What dogs go THERE
Homer : Mmm ... Hitler's dog, that dog Nixon had, what's his name, checks?
Lisa : Checkers.
Homer : Mmmm ... that and one of the Lassies is also there, I think.
