Perhaps you are right.Pappa wrote:I think nostalgia is making you cling to something that never really was Dev. I liked the 100% of TAF.
RDF Off Topic and TAF were absolutely brilliant. There was never a dull moment. It's just the natural comings and goings of forum life but there are some people I miss like Betty, OBC (oh yes), War Arrow, Rational Bess, Even Adam, Globe, MCJ, JasonK, Pauline, Millie, DBA, Alison, Mysturji (he's hardly ever about), weber134, Jain, Even Liam, Clouded Perception, Medgen...just a lot of names that mean a lot to me.
Of course there have been some lovely additions to this community like you Rachel but it's nowhere near as vibrant and fun as it was a few years ago - probably because we are doomed to repeat ourselves.
I feel pretty jaded at the minute, which isn't surprising after almost three years of incessant posting. I do disagree with with "something that never really was" - all of the people I mentioned are missed for various reasons: there's a lot of forum seasoning in those names.

Then they for sudden joy did weep,
And I for sorrow sung,
That such a king should play bo-peep,
And go the fools among.
Prithee, nuncle, keep a schoolmaster that can teach
thy fool to lie: I would fain learn to lie.
And I for sorrow sung,

That is a neat equation though. Isn't math the coolest thing since pointy sticks?

Welcome.

Cheese is already common topic of conversation on the forum. You will add rich complexity to such banter I'm sure.
Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.

In fact, "cheese" is the most common option in polls that are run here, so you should feel very at home.cheese wrote:I did not know.
