You've not experienced slow until you have experienced the slow of small town Mississippi. :hehe:

Not it's not. One does not put sugar in grits. In Mississippi you could be tarred and feathered for doing such a thing. :lay:

Many years ago I traveled through Mississippi and we stopped in a small town to get some food and drinks at McDonalds. There were some guys there and saw our NY plates and asked us "What ya'll Yankees doing roun heeer? Getting something to eat, we said! They all looked at us like we were not very welcome there. Then worst of all this McDonalds did NOT serve coffee!! I said what kind of freaken McDonalds does not serve coffee?! But they had iced tea! I said let's go and leave this dump! And the prejudice atmosphere was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. I told myself I would never live in the south and guess where I'm living? ha ha "never say never!!!

By the way I don't like grits, but my husband does. He's from Atlanta.
