Cute mini-person!

On holiday up there or is that where you live. We have a large Brit element here (not to mention miscellanea Celts of one sort or another).

Thanks everyone for a lovely welcome.

Rumertron, we were on holiday in Gardenstown - actually having the worst holiday of a lifetime but that was because the cottage was pants. The people round there were incredible, twice we had folk knock on the car window to see if we needed help when we were looking at maps, and one of them gave us a sparkly book for munchkin! It was sad to see how hard hit some of the places were though.

I live in Carlisle and often pop over into Scotland. It has often struck me since moving to this neck of the woods from the south how much poorer most Scottish towns feel compared to England just a few miles away.

Were do you hail from then?

Welcome to Ratz. Quite an impressive cheese tribute, you'll go far. but remember to give the cheese to the people with red names in future - we are the important ones.

Lovely pic of your little girl too.

Ok - if I give a whole ton of cheese you have to promise to forget where I come from - it's boring, it's beyond the backend of boring, and worse than that I love it! So here's the cheese:
Image

Right, ready to forget? I come from.... errrr..... Nottingham. But, in my defence I married a Cumbrian fellsman of geordie heritage (you should hear his accent - mix those two together and it comes out 'pure 'Obbit!). I adore the North and plan one day to retire there once I've persuaded my best mate and her partner to move to the same place at the same time, plus my brother. I've began work on said persuasion project and I have to say - for a longshot it's going surprisingly well.

Nothing wrong with Nottingham! Lovely little city. Where are you from in Nottingham?
