I'm probably one of the last people to join this forum or RatSkep after RDF had been dismantled. I was Deicidal on RDF (not a big player, but I had like 2000 posts, if anyone remembers.) I woulda joined one of the fallout fora earlier, but instead I chose to read and comment on Pharyngula as a cheap replacement for a real online atheist community. But after PZ had proven himself to be an ass with regards to ElevatorGate, I just don't seem to want to read Phrayungula anymore, so where's an atheist supposed to go? His first beloved forum was destroyed by some turd (what happened to the lawsuit against Josh Timonen anyway?) and its replacement blog became a festering boil of irrational radfem victimology and misogynist name-calling if one doesn't walk in lockstep with PZ's views.

Anyway, that's my rant.

I just hope this forum doesn't gets dismantled or everyone suddenly starts touting Teabagger ideological talking points.

So yah..hello everyone!

Not everyone, mostly just me. But welcome anyway. And thanks for your cogent analysis of PZ's blogsite. Things are really pretty easy-going here, aside from the occasional flame-war between left and right (everybody else and me pretty much, though Cogito Ergo Sum does yeoman duty from the right as well). Bring lots of cheese and bacon, to keep the mods happy in their cages. Use the slide-through drawer and avoid the bars, staying behind the glass is always advisable, they can be undisciplined with their poo. Cheese and bacon usually calm them down quickly though.
