Apparantly I'm new..

Post by kiore » Tue Feb 23, 2010 12:40 pm

Excuses if I've ended up registering twice  has been an interesting day.
Hi all, kiore from the other place here, also one of the other other places too.(TAF). I know many of you already and have lurked here before.
Seems now I come not as a lurker but a refugee, with all the baggage that this label confers.
The secret police from that other place had not yet come knocking on my door, but that fate seems inevitable under the current regime, as with all coups dissent has been silenced by 'executions' and 'disappearings'. I note several posters were 'deleted' the internet equivatent of those one way plane trips out to sea, fortunately they seem to have swum ashore here and I'm glad to see their names on the list of the survivors.
So cheers! :td:

PS. Looking for a blogger template: 3 columns, dark, something on the gothic vampire side, not very intricate but elegant. If anyone knows of a template like the above PM me. Thanks.

We can provide you with a tent, a blanket, cheese and gin, so welcome!

(and if the secret police show up, we have a 50 metre reptilian monster to keep them busy...)
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

Ah yes I usually have a polynesian rat avatar, but I must have left it behind on the boat and they say the rats leave first <never>.

Oh yes I forgot to say some stuff about me:
I live and work in sharialand in northern africa but am from New Zealand and was previously based in France and Australia..
Am a humanist atheist and ex raving fundie.
I do enjoy fine wine and cheese so fuck knows why I ended up here in sharialand..
Am a Folding@Home fanatic and that's pretty much it..
Oh yeah I am still currently a moderator and RDFRS Volunteer Coordinator at the other place although that all seems a little theoretical when I can't even post on the front page anymore. :what: So if you still see my name still coloured up there don't imagine it means anything.

Kiore, I was froze out before I could PM you, so I'll take this opportunity to thank you for your outstanding service as RDF mod. I look forward to seeing you (and other refugees) around this most excellent forum. Regards. :td:
