I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops. - Stephen J. Gould

I like this guy. Not as convincing as Nostradamus, but good effort. He couldn't be more right about calling atheists (educated) "fools".

Predicting the future 500 years in advance is pretty strong proof, no? lol

His writing is gobbledegook and much like the I Ching, can be used to predict all sorts of nonsense.

Religion and its charlatans have used warnings of doom and the imminence of the Second Coming and End of Days pretty much every decade from the time of the first followers of Jesus.

It indicates a preoccupation of Christianity with death and the cult that it is - cheering on the coming Apocalypse and welcoming it with open arms - and in the process ensuring compliance out of fear - an important element in all this.

Its major danger, besides creating fear and anticipation in true believers is that it can potentially be self fulfilling. If you have enough religious loonies in the White House, all believing that the End of Times is at hand, well how handy to have the nuclear codes to hand to kick the whole thing off.

Think for yourself man - forget the soothsayers. They are charlatans.

Accurate prediction of things like eclipses via science and maths trumps turgid ramblings from Nostradamus that can be interpreted in any way you wish.

God?

We have no need of that hypothesis.

And, to paraphrase another French writer from the past:

"The world will only have peace when the last capitalist swine is strangled by the entrails of the last internet theist"

Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
