"More than 200 million animals are killed for food around the world every day – just on land. Including wild-caught and farmed fishes, we get a total closer to 3 billion animals killed daily. That comes out to 72 billion land animals and over 1.2 trillion aquatic animals killed for food around the world every year."

We are waiting for your "evidence" of atheism.
The evidence for my atheism is that I don't believe the claims and assertions of theists. Unless I'm lying about what I don't believe this proves atheism. To refute this you must demonstrate that I really don't believe what I don't believe :tea:

Atheism as it it called by theists is the default. We dont have PROVE the name atheism because the name atheism was invented by theists. So prove why you call it atheism? Why do you call the default atheism? Or the off position on the switch "off".

The problem lies in how to materialize the ideas of Herbert Marcuse without some sort of miraculous event in human history since all attempts to construct Utopia have failed.

Go ahead. Still does not change anything. Religion in western democracies is dead. Get used to it.
Btw the USA and very few Anglo-Saxon countries are NOT true democracies.

That's true. Utopias have always been aspirational, even mythical concepts ever since the term was created by Thomas More in the early 15-hundreds. Marcuse was an avowed materialist whose writing was intended to enlighten and inform ordinary people about their material conditions, and by that to motivate society to reflect on the true state of things and to consider not only possible alternatives but also ways to approach changing things towards those ideas of a better future. I don't think Marcuse ever suggested that society could approach Utopia by slitting the throats of everyone who disagreed with him.

Define Utopia. One man's Utopia is another man's hell which is also typical of religion.

  • utopia n.
    • An ideally perfect place, especially in its social, political, and moral aspects.
