So.. you subscribe the "big crunch" eschatology of the universe then? It's all just an infinite series of big bangs and big contractions creating infinite variations of cosmological "constants", one combination of which - ours - happens to be congenial to the natural evolution of life. It's not the mainstream theory but I can respect that.

If the universe ends, then won't it be indistinguishable from the universe never having existed?

How would a universe that does not exist differ from a universe that never existed?
