Someone is giving priests magic mushrooms to see if they ‘meet God’

What happens when priests take hardcore hallucinogens and set sail for the parts of the brain where the buses don’t run?
We’re about to find out, thanks to one intrepid researcher.

Roland Griffiths of John Hopkins University is looking for 12 full-time clergymen to take magic mushrooms while wearing eyeshades and listening to music – to facilitate the journey ‘inwards’.
Previous John Hopkins experiments found that many people find spiritual value in psychedelic journeys – with 67% of Griffiths’ volunteers saying their trips were among the most spiritually significant events of their lives.
Griffiths has already helped one minister journey into inner space.

He says, ‘We first need to see if these religious professionals experience the same effects we’ve seen otherwise. I think we can make a good guess that yes, they will.

If you die slowly chocking on NHS food...trip at the end of life.

If you die quickly by boat capsizing...no trip at the end of life.

Aldous Huxley took LSD on his death bed...
On his deathbed, unable to speak due to advanced laryngeal cancer, Huxley made a written request to his wife Laura for "LSD, 100 µg, intramuscular". According to her account of his death, in This Timeless Moment, she obliged with an injection at 11:20 a.m. and a second dose an hour later; Huxley died aged 69, at 5:20 p.m. (Los Angeles time), on 22 November 1963.

Media coverage of Huxley's passing — as with that of the author C. S. Lewis – was overshadowed by the assassination of U.S. President J. F. Kennedy on the same day.

I expect in heaven, he gets tired of the question, "what were you doing, when Kennedy got shot?".

Especially if it's Kennedy who's asking.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
