What is it with Catholics? Safety in numbers?
What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

Holy fuck! Image

The second of the two especially should not be canonised. His carcass should be disinterred, strapped to the muzzle of a cannon and fired for his stonewalling of sexual abuse inquiries concerning his priests.

Scumple loves being cryptic. Or arrogant. He started this particular thread because of this news item: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-04-27/a ... ts/5413850

Or it might be that we have an existing "main pope" and a retired one who is still given the courtesy title of pope...

Four popes are enough to start a band.

Same as The Beatles, two are dead. Spooky coincidence.

The Catholic church had a band of four popes in 1276: Gregory X, Innocent V, Adrian V and John XXI. They played consecutively, though. It had a duo consisting of Urban VI and Clement VII that played simultaneously in 1378 and a trio, John XXIII, Gregory XII and Benedict XIII, who did likewise in 1415, but neither act lasted long because their sound was extremely discordant. The incessant screeching of "antipope" by each of them never quite caught on with the audience.

Following the success of this ceremony, they are planning to hold another, in which Pope John Paul 2 will be made the patron saint of paedophiles. It's apparently because of miracles of healing which happened when some sick children were persuaded to kiss his ring.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
