BSB's biblical derail

Post by Bible Study Boy » Sat Feb 12, 2011 6:26 pm

Thread split from here: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 61#p764161 - Charlou

I am a Christian and wish to join in this conversation. I am not like most Christians who do not even know the God they claim. The bible does not forbid adultery in a natural sense. Adultery in the bible is seeking to justified by your own works of righteousness alive unto the law while seeking to be married to Christ as his bride. The bible is very complicated and is to be taken based on the hidden, spiritual truth contained within allowing the bible to interpret itself. It is not like other books that can be taken at face value with our own natural wisdom and understanding, as well as our own natural vocabulary. In order to understand the bible one must study it thoroughly. As a true Christian one can live as they please as long as they don't believe that one must do anything other than believe in Jesus in order to please God and obtain salvation. I demonstrate how the bible is to be understood at my website. It is a Bible study website for spiritual understanding of the hidden wisdom of the bible. If you don't think I am just another Christian who has lost his mind, feel free to check it out for yourself. However, most do not and will not ever understand the truth of the bible, even many, if not most, of professing Christians.

Spammers will be banned on sight. Forum members are however free to tout, promote and discuss their own products, creations and achievements in threads they start about them or threads in which they feel their input is relevant. They should not feel discouraged from doing so. However, forum members who persist in spamming their book/website/birthday party purely for reasons of advertising, will be politely asked to stop, 'reminded of the rules', then issued with a warning and potentially temporarily suspended if they continue.

Now I'm not going to ban you but I will ask you to remove your links to your site as they are considered spamming.

BSB, you are a chretin. The Bible does completely forbid adultery, insofar as OT specifically states that the adulterous woman shall be put to death, and that, if you accept the epicope of the adultress, Jesus still admonished the lady in that she should stop sinning, meaning he does regard it as a sin. If you don't accept the epicope, it's even clearer since Jesus, as per Mt 5:17ff declared that the OT halakhah was to continue being in force, even though his own interpretation was at variance with those of domiant rabbis and at complete odds with the practices of the pharisees.

Furthermore, this is a damndog SECULAR debate where your drivel has no place. Also, we'd be grateful if you did not spam.

I think Bible Boy didn't get the memo that the buybul has fuck all to contribute to secular matters.
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

You don't think it's a teensy little bit arrogant and presumptuous to think you've discovered the "correct" way to read and interpret the Bible, which is obviously so much better than every OTHER bastard out there who has ever claimed to unearth The One True Way to interpret The One True Holy Text, Bible Study Boy? :coffee:
Then they for sudden joy did weep,
And I for sorrow sung,
That such a king should play bo-peep,
And go the fools among.
Prithee, nuncle, keep a schoolmaster that can teach
thy fool to lie: I would fain learn to lie.

We haven't had a nice, serious young christian boy here for a while, have we?

Should we put temptaion in his path, I wonder?

Booze or fornication?
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

I see no reason why we shouldn't follow common Rationalian custom and have both, consecutively. Nothing quite sets the scene for unbridled unchristian beastliness quite like a few glasses of alcoholic beverage. Inhibitions go out of the window, and before you even get a chance to register what's happening, lips are locked, tongues intertwined, loins ablaze, no hope of escape - and it all goes speedily downhill from there… :drunk: :lips:
