Why is Islam growing fastest? Simple, there is no limit to human ignorance, greed, stupidity and gullibility and Islam is the best religious meme for exploiting these human weaknesses. It also exploits the female of the species by considering them to be no more use than a sperm receptacle and baby oven. This lack of respect for half the human race simple produces more minds to induct into the cult.

Ignorance is the main weapon of Islam, by keeping the population blinkered Islam dominates the minds of those indoctrinated by it.

Greed, almost all religions run on the exploitation of the masses for financial gain, Islam, Christianity and Judaism being prime examples. Wherever there is a sucker to be had then somebody will exploit them and religions have been practising this art for millennia.

Stupidity, the split between theism vs atheism is about an IQ of 125, theism predominates below this level of intelligence atheism above this level. This factor also links into the ability to understand the scientific method and correctly construct and deliver a logical argument.

Gullibility is built into us by evolution, that is as children we blindly believe what our parents tell us, we have to or we'd die, thus removing the 'gullibility' gene. The antidotes to gullibility are intelligence, education and rational thought.

Islam is growing not because it is good but because it is an evil meme that exploits humanity's myriad flaws.

Off topic is fine by me! I'm happily married too, so I get the lot. It's been interesting being on the receiving end of homophobic comments actually; I only "came out" last year, and I never had any personal issues with anyone, or more specifically, no one did with me, and the fact that Mandy "doesn't like the gay man in me" (fucking lol), and intimates he would condone me physical harm via his beliefs has been interesting emotionally. I think I'd be more upset about comments from someone who was willing to think for themselves, though.
