Neither satan nor god exist.

I think it is more accurate to say that religious leaders don't want anyone but themselves - and those who agree with their dogmas - to talk about god.

These days, thankfully, they can't enforce that any more. Gone are the days, for example, when people who translated and published the bible into languages the natives could actually speak and understand were persecuted.

That means that I cannot take the Biblical descriptions of Hell literally because I do not believe that it is a literal place.

It is always good when people talk about God ......what a nice thing to say because obviously If we talk about HIM (which HIM or HER is it good to talk about?)
then we will come to learn about His love for us and his wisdom and all those other logical fallacies that the believers fill thier heads with.

And the point that the reason that I do not believe in God is because there is no evidence to cause me to believe it. And its corollary that since God knows that there are people who cannot believe without evidence, he is condemning them to eternal punishment by not supplying them the requisite evidence.

No - just a comment about people who say 1. Theres no God and 2. I hate him. This thread is about a theological proposition. Whats the value in a contribution which says "theres no God, theres no satan"? If you think that, go visit the "Satan doesnt exist thread" This is the "What would satan do" thread.

Once again, this is the WWSD thread. I would love to debate the hell/punishment thing with you but I must ask you...whats the point if you are going to end up saying..."oh well theres no God anyway so you lose"
