What's wrong with inane questions?leo-rcc wrote:And inane questions. Man I hate inane questions.
I vastly prefer insane questions - many more lolz...FBM wrote:What's wrong with inane questions?leo-rcc wrote:And inane questions. Man I hate inane questions.
Umm, no. Du'a's family are not Muslim. They are Yazidi. They actually stoned her because she wanted to marry a Muslim.FBM wrote:MANDY. WATCH THIS VERY CAREFULLY. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW THAT BELIEF SYSTEM
FBM didn't actually say they were Muslim, just that they follow the same belief system. You can't argue with the Muslim faith following that little tradition, surely?Mung Bean wrote:Umm, no. It was my mistake assuming she was Muslim, but it doesn't matter, really. Stoning a 17-yr-old girl to death for whatever reason, whatever religion, is just beneath barbarity. If Mandy has joined up with Islam, he'll be in the same culture that produced the results shown in the video. A difference that makes no difference is no difference.Tigger wrote:FBM didn't actually say they were Muslim, just that they follow the same belief system. +1 that's kind of why I don't invest more effort in debating theists ... I think all the checking their books checking the history, refuting points made is giving their warped twisted opinions far too much credibility ( and lets face it No Booze and No Bacon ,bless it's saltygoodness, because the invisble man in the sky said so is just stoopid)FBM wrote: Stoning a 17-yr-old girl to death for whatever reason, whatever religion, is just beneath barbarity. I won't hate them, though, because I refuse to give them that much power over me. I despise the behavior and would risk my life to save girls in that situation, but hate? Nope. Apathy for them and their insane, hate-filled, barbaric religion.
Certainly more attention than it deserves.Feck wrote:+1 that's kind of why I don't invest more effort in debating theists ... oooh... I really like that. It sums up exactly the kind of experience I am going through now (minus the religion part) with finding science and feeling a sense of revelation. Very nice... thanks for sharing!ScienceRob wrote:A video that sums up my view on religion and my apathy for it:
by heyjude: I don't hate islam... it's just another set of myths that will come and go like every other faith through the course of history.
