At least Christians have rational arguments to defend their faith; it seems atheists have given up to defend what they believe and are just resigned to have a worldview based on blind faith.
You seem to be confusing science and atheism. You may as well be talking about farming and atheism

You forget that "science" is not confined to being something that atheists "use" , theists also use science

But you don't have snow in your ear now, do you? :what:

I think that proves the OP correct. So there is a god. Let's hope it's Bacchus. Or some sex-goddess, that would be nice too.

Apologies if this was said before, but:
Thedistillers, you are falsely assuming that atheism implies a rejection of induction. Induction works if we assume there is an overall scheme or general formula or set of formulas that runs nature and the universe, and that it is there for our discovery, and most importantly, that it possesses a rhythmic characteristic which enables us to correctly make predictions of future behaviour based on current or past observations. The obvious fallacy that you're making, however, is by assuming that such a structure would necessitate any sort of divine entity, creative impulse, or superior intelligence.

Of course, the problems with induction are numerous, yet wander off into the uncharted realms of confusingly theoretical epistemology, and are entirely irrelevant in terms of the OP.

Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Can I post my avatar again? The one where I'm wearing a wig and looking like a bad advert for fellatio?

I trust science because it has proven itself to be the best possible way to learn about and understand the world around us.

That is, unless you have a better method...

See, the problem is god-botherers only have one daffynition for "faith". I have faith in my truck getting me to the store and back with cheese. I have faith that the sun will come up tomorrow. I have faith that magnetism works. I believe in all these things because they're grounded in reality and not based on The Bronze Age Goat-herders' Anthology of Campfire Tales for Boys.
