It's a mental issue. Would need professional attention. We can't do that.

Dear all,

We don't usually give an extended rationale for our mod actions. By-and-large we prefer to make things clear in the blue-text modnotes we decide to issue to members. But perhaps some further explanation is in order on this occasion...

Firstly, I think it's fair to say that we could have handled the situation better.

superuniverse has a pretty unique standing here. We had hoped that members would have come to understood that by now, and taken account of it accordingly. Generally speaking, most people have.

We would like to encourage everyone to recognise superuniverse's particular challenges and to show him the duty of care someone in his position deserves.

In the meantime he has been given a two-day 'cooling off' suspension in the hope that will give him and everyone a chance to reflect and take a step back as needed, as per the 'Play Nice' rule. This is also why we took the unusual step of locking the thread for a while.

This thread is now open for business.

superuniverse,

The prime directive of the forum's rules, which you undertook to abide by when you became a member here, is to 'Play Nice'.

As stated in '
TEH RULEZ': "Intentional malicious trolling and use of offensive language, images or jokes, with the intention of harassing, intimidating, tormenting or persecuting another member, or in the knowledge that such posts are likely to cause widespread general offense, will not be tolerated."

Your recent threats of harm and/or vengeance fall foul of this basic principle. As with anybody else on the board, you are free to post whatever you like on the forum, but you also carry the sole responsibility for doing so. Threats of harm to other members are inappropriate and unacceptable, no matter how impotent they are in reality.

If Jim or I think you are crossing that line again you will find yourself on increasingly lengthy posting holidays.

Please take note of what has recently been communicated to you in this thread by both Jim and myself.

Yer Mods.

Lol. 100 years ago you would have been put to death everywhere. Only today are you tolerated, in some countries. Hermit is lucky he hides behind a computer, or so he thinks.

So as should be clear by now, the entire world, past and present, sees your type, the atheist, as the brain damaged.
