Allah is seeing it all and mocking the atheists who are getting beaten by me. :hehe:

Ayaan:

Libraries are excellent resources. You can educate yourself on nearly any topic for free. If there is something you'd like to learn about, I'm sure there is someone on this forum who can recommend some books to start with, Mandy. Lack of money isn't an excuse for lack of knowledge. It's obvious you have an Internet connection. There are plenty of reputable websites that you can learn from also. All you have to do is ask and someone will direct you to them.
Ayaan, thanks mate. its good we all helping each other. you are helping me learn stuff and im helping all you chaps to get to paradise so that you can enjoy yourself there forever and ever and ever. this temporary life is gonna end soon coz we are all gonna die one day, so its rational to be prepared and to get the ticket for the next permamant neverending life. for that you need to be convinced that there is God. i mean 100% sure, coz blind faith aint gonna work. Allah dont like blind people. he said he likes logical people. bollocks aint good enough.
JOZeldenrust:

you can buy books about formal logic pretty much anywhere, and they don't have to be expensive to be good. Also, if you're in college, there's probably a possibility to sit in on classes from other courses. I know I can on my university. Educate yourself. Most people here have.
cheers mate. you seems like a nice chap. i picked up a compicated book about logic. it had all these weird formulas and symbols i had no clue about. i aint as clever as you. it was too hard for me. i need a degree to be able to read that kind of stuff. so i left it. i sometimes go to students union socities discussion they have there. the chick love me, 3 even ask for autograph. honest. i already got two hot ones in the bag. some are right mingers though.

JOZeldenrust:

Zero placed name functions refer directly to things.
ok i got that. all you saying is that its a label.
"JOZeldenrust" is a zero placed name function. It refers to me.
right. got it.
"Mother" is a one placed name function.
so youre saying its not a label but its an ingredient on the label. like a description on the bottle.
In itself it doesn't refer to anything.
doesnt it refer to whats inside the bottle?
The place can be filled with a zero placed name function, like "JOZeldenrust", resulting in the new zero placed name function "JOZeldenrusts mother", which does refer to a thing. (no, my mum won't mind me calling her a thing, as she's a sensible woman)
"Water" is also a zero placed name function. "Wet" isn't. "Wet" doesn't refer to anything.
of course it does mate. wet is a description of a lady in my lap.
However, other then "mother", it's impossible to turn "wet" into a term that refers to a thing by making a relative connection like you can with "mother". You need a predicative connection, because "wet" is a one placed sentence function. It is possible to connect "wet" to a zero placed name function like "JOZeldenrusts mother", but it requires a different construction: "JOZeldenrusts mother is wet." This term refers to a thing, a state of affairs to be exact.
you lost me there mate.
Same goes for any property a thing can have, like beauty, colour, taste etc. These properties do not exist in themselves, they only exist as properties of things.
thats exactly what i said mate.

a work of divine art like Cheyrl is beautiful. i can point to her and say this is beauty.

only Allah creates true beauty. if you know anyone else, then let me know.

Funny how Mandy is perfectly OK with uncovered flesh when it suits him. One would think his professions of religiosity are feigned. :coffee:
