I heard a story about Jesus
Re: I heard a story about Jesus
Need moar epic!
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."
Re: I heard a story about Jesus
Here is a conversation I had with my eldest child when she was 2 and a half.
Me: What is your name?
Her: Pixie.
Me: What is your big name?
Her: Pixie 'Tonia Grace with the pretty face.
Me: What is your sister's name?
Her: Pippin.
Me: What is her big name?
Her: Caloline Estelle.
Me: What about daddy?
Her: Daddy.
Me: But what does mummy call him?
Her: Homer?

Re: I heard a story about Jesus
This is so funny! My kids are the same, I wish I'd written them all down, I can only remember a few. I think what cracks me up most is the made up words spoken in complete gravity! My eldest daughter came downstairs complaining that her sister had ruined her game; "Mum, Maya's intervolving my game and she won't stop!". Now I wanted to fall apart laughing, but obviously, I needed to not do that right then.

So do I ...Trinity wrote:My kids are the same, I wish I'd written them all down, I can only remember a few.
My partner's mother recorded anecdotes from his and his siblings' childhood and they each have a copy. It's an absolute treasure of both sentimental and humorous value. I never met his mother (she died when he was in his teens), but I get a real sense of her wonderful character as a person and a mother through her writing's about her children, as well as feeling I know each of them a little better.
