An interesting article on the continuing fallout from the Capitol invasion:

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-02-26/ ... s/13187798
At least six Capitol Police officers have been suspended without pay and 29 more have been placed under internal investigation amid reports of encouraging or assisting the rioters.

More than 268 people, most of them protesters, have been charged in connection to the riot so far.

Come to think of it, they never came down here to help put out our bushfires either. :lay:

I just don't understand why they don't get on a plane and go protest fascism in China.

Alex Jones described Antifa's involvement in his even on the 6th.

But the capitol invasion, I remember hearing how serious it was, because some cop got beat to death. Well, wouldn't you know it, that was bullshit.

UPDATE: New information has emerged regarding the death of the Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick that questions the initial cause of his death provided by officials close to the Capitol Police.
'officials close to the Capitol Police' is code for q told me lol

So someone made up a story. I wonder if it was right-wing Trump supporters lying about the fire extinguisher to make the media look bad...

Nobody said it was serious because some cop got beat to death. You're just making shit up again. The storming of the capitol was serious because a mob, fired up by Trump, and using violent means, attempted to stop the man who won the presidential election from becoming the next POTUS.

Doesn't follow.
Let us see how Trump, or his paid liars explain how he paid next to no tax, when he was claiming that his businesses were profitable to lenders.

That will be an interesting squirm.
You'll be so excited when those strangers get that revenge on that stranger for you. I mean, as long as they aren't as incompetent as the 'impeachment cops'.
I'm mildly interested, so no great excitement here.

Welp, the US's latest religion has an actual physical idol. Charitably, it's a ham-handed attempt at irony and triggering the libs. If that hypothesis were to be correct, it seems unlikely that triggering ridicule is what they were looking for. I tend to think it's what it appears to be, rather than an attempt to be clever.

'Internet Points and Laughs at Viral Video of Golden Trump Statue Being Wheeled Around CPAC'
Donald Trump has united thousands of Americans — in mockery of the squat golden statue of his likeness that was caught on camera being wheeled around the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

Bloomberg reporter William Turton captured the video — featuring a squat statue of a golden Trump garbed in a business suit and Rocky Balboa’s boxing shorts and red flip-flops, brandishing what appears to be a magic wand and a non-disclosure agreement, being wheeled through the event as attendees can be seen taking snapshots and cooing things like “Awesome!” and “That’s so cool!” and “Four more years.” — and posted it on Thursday night as part of a thread on CPAC happenings.

If the shorts were shorter we'd probably be able to see a golden calf or two.

Yeah, I also think attempting to disenfranchise every voter in a Merica is quite a serious matter, but I can understand why some wouldn't.

How and why did the media spend an entire month definitively affirming what appears to be a completely false story about the only person said to have been killed by the Capitol mob: Officer Brian Sicknick?

Why do we not know how or even when he died?

Trump at CPAC: Open schools and China expected to be in speech.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cpac-2021- ... publicans/
In his remarks, Mr. Trump is expected to dismiss concerns about a potential Republican civil war and express his belief that the party's grassroots are firmly in his corner, with just a handful of party leaders opposed to his continued oversight of the party.

Mr. Trump is also expected to focus his time on the party's need to win back congressional seats next year. He has already joined the fray, endorsing one of his former aides, Max Miller, who launched a primary challenge against Ohio Republican congressman Anthony Gonzalez on Friday. Gonzalez is one of the 10 House Republicans who voted in January to impeach Trump.
