Well, it was not. He just needed to talk before going to Rome. Pelosi to speak this afternoon.

Guardian is running more up todate news than CNN
F762A60D-F573-49AA-8357-C3B62FB22B45.png
“For those who said, ‘I want to see text,’ the text is there for you to review, for you to complain about,” Pelosi told reporters. “We’re on the path to get this all done.”

However, it’s unclear whether the updated text will be sufficient for progressives, given that the bill will likely undergo many more changes as Democrats work out the specific details of the legislation.

The list from CNN will bec pruned but the last section on moddle class will likely stay:

Is there no aspect of American political life where division is not the main motif?

It is typical of many Anglo-Saxon systems of divide and rule. Compromise seldom happens and is usually the last resort as in this case when it is forced on one party. The trouble is that Biden is not the statesman he thinks he is.

Bill likely to pass next week.
Pllitico:
But just when it looked like the day would end in embarrassment for Democrats, the Congressional Progressive Caucus issues a surprise endorsement of the president’s compromise plan — removing one of the last big obstacles in its way.

The CPC’s decision to back the new BBB framework got drowned out by the group’s refusal to allow a BIF vote Thursday before full text was drafted. That deprived Speaker NANCY PELOSI of the vote she was determined to hold on BIF, and yielded lots of headlines about Democrats’ failure to clinch the win.

But the dispute over sequencing masked a major achievement for the president: Hill progressives now appear ready to swallow this deal — and that means it’s likely a matter of when, not if, it passes.

Is this the one where your bank has to report every transaction more than $600 to the IRS? To make sure "The Rich" pay their "fair" share? Or is the the one where they'll tax you on "unrealized capital gains"? Or maybe that's the same one?

PLEASE pass it. This will absolutely insure a GOP House and Senate in 2022, and DeSantis in 2024.

You heard it here first.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

The bank bill is separate. I think it got limited. The bank has to report 2 sums: total withdrawals and total deposits.

Since no republican will vote for either bill, they will need to pass the big bill first.

The Progressive Caucus has repeatedly insisted that it won't pass the infrastructure package until the much larger social-spending package — now pegged at around $1.75 trillion — also makes progress.

The entire White House is vaccinated. What's a virus supposed to do? Infect whoever it can. You may want to ask when was she vaccinated. If 6 months ago and Pfizer, protection falls below 70%.

Psaki had family members with Covid so she was tested daily at that time. Mostly due to trsting she knew she had Covid. She had very mild symptoms. Quarantine is 10 days.
