When I was working I used to be able to sneak off to the Hoito Restaurant and have a liver and bacon supper. My wife will not have anything to do with liver because she is a super smeller and taster. No, she doesn't smell bad, but she can smell things better than our dog. I, on the other hand, lost my sense of smell 40 odd years ago when I worked in an old paper mill bleach plant during construction. The chlorine leaks were awesome!

...working in bleach plant at mill years ago, we had to wear a gas mask all the time. They did warn us to put it on whenever we could smell the Cl2. Apparently by the second breath you could be dead. Never tested them on that.
