Intetesting to see data for 80plus old people for one dose vs 2. People younger than that did ok with one shot.

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

A 'close contact' tested positive for Covid. I await the results of my hurriedly arranged PCR test with mild indifference - but I'm self-isolating until I get the result because it's the responsible thing to do. Shouldn't take too long to find out. In the meantime I've hoovered the flat and put two lots of washing in. Rock'n'Roll! \m/

I think this will become the big issue around the world in the next few months. Essentially, the question is whether governments and/or private businesses have the right to only allow the fully vaccinated into specific places, events or jobs, and how much pushback against such mandates will there be.

This nonsense about "experimental" is getting old

Experimental? ...hardly..go to some quality sources

The big question
Was the science behind the COVID-19 vaccines rushed?

The quick answer
The science behind the new COVID-19 vaccines has not been rushed. In fact, these vaccines are building on decades of scientific research.

The story involves hundreds of people all over the world and highlights the importance of fundamental and applied research. Advancements in our understanding of messenger RNA (mRNA) and its potential for use in medicines, along with the creation of new technologies over the last 30 years, made these vaccines possible. Recent research on coronaviruses, in particular, made these vaccines effective.

Double jabbed Scot, but I could be asymptomatic and therefore infectious. A day or twos isolation is hardly a trial and sentencing is it.

There would be good reason to give a third Pfizer shot to anyone over 50.

But the panel did not, they settled on 65.
