Re: The Coronavirus Thread
In Oz, the number of new cases every day is trending down. There has been a big effort to track contacts and test, plus mandated isolation of suspected cases, plus the general lockdown and social distancing. We may actually be "flattening the curve"...

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
What number would be big enough for you? If only 5% of confirmed cases result in death is not enough then would 10% do, or 25%, or 50%, or more?

So - the U.S. is the single largest contributor to the WHO. We provide 15% of their annual budget, the Chinese provide 0.21%. Yet they suck Chink dick, while the CCP lie their slimy asses off and try to blame the U.S. for THEIR fucking pandemic.
Trump is right - fuck these people.

Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

It probably wasn't tainted by large Epstein donations though. That would be ridiculous.

It sometimes looks like some reporters would much rather that this drug didn't help.
Maybe it would be better if someone hated the president, for this to NOT work. Sure make some anti-Trump critics look like ravening jackals if it were good, after all that bad press...

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
UK ministers accused of prioritising careers over lives of coronavirus victims
Ministers have been accused of focusing on saving their careers instead of the lives of coronavirus victims by authorising “cowardly and shameful” anonymous briefings against some of the UK’s most senior public officials.
Smears by unnamed Downing Street sources against Sir Mark Sedwill, the cabinet secretary and head of the civil service, and Public Health England (PHE) executives show that “some within government are still putting self-preservation first”, according to the head of the senior civil servants’ union.
It comes amid concern across Whitehall that cabinet ministers and their special advisers are mounting a concerted effort to pass the blame for the UK’s faltering response to the pandemic on to officials.
Government sources were quoted this weekend claiming that Sedwill had failed to get a grip of government, PHE officials had not placed enough emphasis on testing and NHS England officials had failed to control personal protective equipment (PPE) supply...
