Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

Sondland was a Trump operative messing around in Ukraine:
After a meeting between Zelensky and Pence in Warsaw, Morrison testified he saw Sondland from across the room speaking with a top aide to Zelensky. Afterward, Sondland walked over to Morrison to tell him what he'd said.
"He told me that in his -- that what he communicated was that he believed the -- what could help them move the aid was if the prosecutor general would to go the mike and announce that he was opening the Burisma investigation," Morrison said, referring to the Ukrainian energy company on whose board Hunter Biden sat.

Nunes freely spreading Ukraine conspiracy throry:

"You had so many problems in Ukraine," Nunes said earlier in the segment. "The Democrats, they hate to admit this, but their sources for the Fusion GPS [dossier] -- a company that they were paying to dig up the dirt on Trump that ultimately made its way into the FBI -- there were Ukrainian sources there, so they were paying people to go into Ukraine and dig up dirt."

"Some of this dirt came from high-ranking Ukrainian officials, allegedly," he added. "Remember, we spent three years with this Mueller nonsense. [Giuliani] had every right and responsibility to be over there."

So everybody knew what Trump wanted to get out of Ukraine and what he would use to get it. I guess the troll farms of Kyiv worked for him last time so why wouldn't something like that work again.

Now prepare for the Republicans to shift the matter from whether there was a quid pro quo to whether a president putting pressure on another country is unusual or improper - and no doubt we'll be treated to cries of "But Obama did it all the time!" along the way.

Trump wants "nothing" but Z will "do the right thing" (nudge nudge, wink wink)
CNN
I want nothing” seems to be Trump’s new mantra.

He said it repeatedly in a gaggle with reporters today. He tweeted the phrase as well, and re-tweeted Republican lawmakers who used the quote. And Republicans on the House Intel Committee are displaying a large sign with the quote ahead of the evening hearing with State Department official David Hale and Pentagon official Laura Cooper.

Here's what it means: The phrase comes from Trump’s Sept. 9 phone call with Gordon Sondland, when Sondland asked him what he wanted from Ukraine in exchange for lifting the freeze on US military assistance.

“It was a very short, abrupt conversation,” Sondland said. “He was not in a good mood. And he just said I want nothing. I want nothing. I want no quid pro quo. Tell Zelensky to do the right thing.”

Apparently Dear Leader needed notes to remind him of his own talking points.

We've known that since at least 2015, when he told us 'I'm very highly educated. I know words, I know the best words.' Non-stop, he's delivered the most beautiful prose ever since, big-league. Only a never-Trumper or a member of the horrible, lying, fake news press (ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE!) would deny it.

Trump relied on a childish note:

'I want nothing. I want nothing': Trump clutches handwritten impeachment defense at briefing
The president relied on a note, written with a black marker in all caps, in the wake of Gordon Sondland’s bombshell testimony

Donald Trump is no stranger to chants: the common refrain of “Lock her up” at his rallies is one example. The counter chant of “Lock him up,” directed at the president himself at a recent Washington DC baseball game is another.

On Wednesday, however, the president appeared to have penned one of his own: in the form of an apparent aide-memoire for his own Ukraine defense in the wake of bombshell testimony during his impeachment hearing, which has implicated him in seeking to force Ukraine to investigate his political rivals in return for US aid.

Trump was holding a sheet of paper as he spoke outside the White House to a press corps desperate for his response to the latest shocking impeachment news, and written on it was his own incantation, a musing on the theme of want.
Cant he right normally? :hilarious:
"Wat is het een gezellig boel hier".
