Drunk driver was 13! Not only that, he was a teenager!
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Lincoln Police Department cited a 13-year-old who struck a utility pole near 27th and Randolph streets on Saturday.

LPD said a driver struck a utility pole in the area and attempted to run away from the crash at 3:15 a.m. The driver was found and identified to be a 13-year-old male teenager.

The teenager was cited for DUI, negligent driving, minor in possession of alcohol and not possessing a driver’s license.

The crash disabled the traffic lights in the intersection. According to LPD, the intersection has since reopened.

It's not like we are without buses, but an 87 year old came out of Wal Mart and killed himself in a turn. A bus does not go there. And no regular buses tun Sat anyway.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln man who was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in northeast Lincoln over the weekend has died.

Officers responded to North 84th Street and Market Drive just before 9 a.m. on Saturday after receiving a report of the crash. Lincoln Police said an eastbound Buick Century had been struck by a northbound Honda Accord.

The driver of the Buick, 87-year-old John Ryan, was taken to the hospital in critical condition but died later that day.

The investigation is ongoing.

Couple steals snacks and sports drink from some shed
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people were arrested Wednesday after a burglary in rural Lancaster County, court documents say.

Around 11:30 a.m., deputies were sent to a property north of Hallam on a report of two trespassers.

When deputies arrived, they found Sarah Bowland, 33, and Clinton Hummer, 47, in the driveway, according to an arrest affidavit.

Investigators learned that the duo entered an unlocked outbuilding and stole a Gatorade and some peanut brittle, the affidavit alleges.

They were taken into custody, and deputies found 1.5 grams of meth on Hummer, the affidavit says.

Both are facing a burglary charge, according to court records. Hummer was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A Lancaster County judge set their bonds at $50,000. They must each pay $5,000 to be released from jail.

CNN story on 11 year old. They left the girl with a aingle guy..just because thry knew him?
CNN:
McDougal, a friend of Audrii’s father, lived in a trailer on the family’s property and sometimes took the girl to catch her school bus in the neighborhood, the sheriff said. He has been the main person of interest in her disappearance as authorities frantically scoured the rural east Texas town of Livingston.

Area man hides gun hand in box for robbery. Nobody saw the gun, therefore it was not an armed robbery!

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln man is in custody after an attempted robbery at the Kwik Shop on Tuesday, where he used a Hostess Iced Cinnamon Roll box to cover his hand.

Lincoln Police responded to the store located near W and North 27th streets just after midnight in response to a reported robbery. An employee told police that a man entered the store with his right hand covered by a white and blue Hostess box, demanding money.

Believing there might be a handgun beneath the box, the employee said he handed over an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers in the area identified a man, 24-year-old Izaiah Bartu, who matched the description. When they tried to approach him, he tried running away, but officers quickly apprehended him. LPD said officers found a silver handgun, money and 4.1 grams of methamphetamine in Bartu’s possession.

Bartu now faces several charges including robbery, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and tampering with physical evidence.

For nearly seven decades, two Canadian men lived lives – full of pain, joy and love – meant for the other.
What a stupid thing to say, full of weird magic.

I don't know. You have to be Trump voters to fall for these crimes.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a couple lost $115,800 in a fraud scheme.

A couple in southwest Lancaster County began experiencing issues on March 29 when their computer shut down and displayed a phone number. The couple told deputies that they called the number and spoke to a person who said they were frauded $5,000 and that the FBI was investigating them for child pornography and other crimes.

Over the next several days, the couple said they received phone calls accusing them of crimes and threats that their bank accounts could be compromised.

The sheriff’s office said on April 1, a caller convinced the couple to withdraw $115,800 from their bank accounts to buy gold bars from a local business. They were instructed to put the gold bars into a cardboard box and give it to a man. According to LSO, the couple was told the man was going to take it to Washington D.C. to put it into a secure bank account.
LSO said a man in a full-size, newer silver Ford Explorer showed up at their home, got the box and then left. The couple did not receive anymore information after the interaction.
