Again, the point here is that evidence seems to suggest that reducing working hours reduces carbon footprints, makes people more productive, and enhances individual happiness. Now surely that's something you can discuss and comment on without simply criticising and dismissing it on nothing more than the nationality of who's saying it?

Of course I agree with those sentiments and fully support them. For me a fundamental is that people are generally happy and the way to achieve it is fully understood.

What I'd like to see is more positive opinions and emotions being expressed around the issue of climate change. Often it seems more important, not to mention easier, to express our frustration and anger at--and our low opinions of--science deniers and climate sceptics than to represent more positive feelings and opinions about our ability to meet the challenge we face. The fact that it sometimes appears completely hopeless is no reason to give up, but exactly why we should make the extra effort regardless.
