@lak, Bernie doesn't get corporate money, for obvious reasons. The vast majority of his funding are small individual donations.

Why shouldn't my kids get a leg up from me? What the fuck kind of father wouldn't do that? If I can use money, or friendship, or Masonic membership, or private, personal photographs of a questionable nature to get them a break I'll gladly do it. Fuck the rest of y'all, get your own shit like I did. That said, I've told both my kids to fuck college, it's a goddamn scam by the government and their corporate generalissimo masters to put you in debt you'll never pay off, on the ridiculous promise of some wonderful life you're never going to get. You'll be a perfect little drone, eating your non-GMO gluten-free Cheerios, buying that time share in Maui (hey, you can trade with people from ALL over the world and we'll buy carbon offsets!), and voting for Bernie or Hillary or Donald or AOC, all of whom suck the same big fucking bag of corporo-military cocks. Doesn't matter if you're a Trumpanzee or a BernieBro, you'll feel all good and righteous and shit, but you'll still pay off that loan, and you'll still send them your taxes, and you'll still argue inane bullshit online like you actually have any fucking effect on any of it. Distracts you from picking up the pitchforks and torches, homes. This is their fucking PLAN. So turn on, tune in, and drop out. That's what i told the kids to do, and it's good advice for everyone.
Just paid my electrician and he walked turned, walked to his Mercedes and drove away. I should have done the 52 week electrician cert at my community college at I would have paid off in two weeks apprenticing.

The guy who used to work on my engines retired at 60 and bought 75 acres of waterfront on the Costa Rican Pacific cost, complete with a 30 slip marina and multiple homes. Good on him, but now I have to find someone who understands 2-stroke diesels and they're thin on the ground these days.
Outboard mechanics charge $125 an hour. Meanwhile that social worker with $150,000 in student loan debt is making $20 an hour with no benefits. It's a no-brainer.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

That's Capitalism floks! I was in East Germany in 1990. The only people driving mercs and audis were plumbers, electricians and plasterers.

Not everybody has mechanical skills. I would guess about half don't. My dad used to make head gaskets for his Russian cars (Pobeda, Volga) out of head gasket material with nothing cut, using a pocket knife.

I've never been able to understand that, since I was a little kid I've been taking shit apart to see how it works. People think it's cute when it's a transistor radio, but get all worried when it's the neighbor's cat.

Does excavating ant's nests using a succession of firecrackers count? I was a curious lad...
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!
