Mangaka Rumiko Takahashi, who is a cult author both in Japan and France (though the French are more familiar with the anime drawn from her comics) just got the Grand Prize from the Angoulême Comics Festival, the greatest annual event in the field, and probably the oldest.

I’ve never really gotten into the comics, despite being a Marvel comic fan as a kid, but I absolutely adore the Studio Ghibli animated films, which are related. I have them all and watch them regularly.
