At press time, team sources had confirmed they had been unaware of the president’s planned attendance, while Trump posed for pictures holding a baseball before dropping it on the mound and walking away.

I propose Linconl's grave be used to solve the Nation's energy problem, he must be able to activate a turbine mightier than any currently in existence.

George Conway:
“Trump should have been removed already twice over, for obstructing the Russia investigation and extorting Ukraine,” he wrote. “His effort to sabotage a democratic system he swore to protect only confirms his unfitness for the job. But it’s too late for impeachment now.”

“For the sake of our constitutional republic, he must lose, and lose badly. Yet that should be just a start: We should only honor former presidents who uphold and sustain our nation’s enduring democratic values. There should be no schools, bridges or statues devoted to Trump. His name should live in infamy, and he should be remembered, if at all, for precisely what he was — not a president, but a blundering cheat.”

Huff Post in Facebook
Orig article in WP has more:
His presidency has been of a piece. By The Post’s count, more than 20,000 falsehoods in 3½ years, on subjects ranging from his inaugural crowd size to the coronavirus, from conversations with foreign leaders to forecasts of a hurricane track. The untruths have accelerated, from five a day in early 2017 to nearly two dozen daily this year and last. With the coronavirus, his untruths have finally brought him down: No, concern about the virus wasn’t a “hoax.” No, the disease won’t just “disappear,” “like a miracle.” No, we’re not in a crisis because we’ve done so much testing. No, Trump hasn’t done a “great job” fighting the virus, and no, we’re not on the verge of a “tremendous victory” over it.

Analysis: One big reason it was so enraging to watch Trump's interview with Axios
https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/04/media/ax ... index.html
Instead, it took Swan — a print journalist — to meaningfully question the President and not let misinformation and nonsensical statements slide into the interview unchecked. The results were astonishing to watch.
When Trump claimed that he "did more for the Black community than anybody with the possible exception of Abraham Lincoln, whether you like it or not," Swan reminded him that Lyndon B. Johnson passed the Civil Right Act.

Etc.

Somebody dug up the data to fo with "cases" that Trump tried to badly explain, with charts in hand.

Why is the UK number so high?

Because they had a lot of deaths and they are currently behind the curve already with declining case numbers. Because deaths have a lag of several weeks, declining cases mean the number of deaths per case go up. The US is in the situation that number of cases goes up. All these new cases will only cause deaths in a few weeks from now. So the seemingly good number of low deaths per cases presented by Trump is actually bad news. It foreshadows a lot more deaths happening in the near future.

Explosion in Beirut. Probably an accident because of storing chemicals unsafely.

Trump says in press conference he believes it was a bomb or military attack. Twitter full of q-idiots who say it cannot be an accident because an accident wouldn't be so big.

The things reminded me of the fireworks factory explosion in the Netherlands 20 years ago. These videos show what an accident can look like (Violence)
