Simple folk with no interest in foreign policy still want Trump to "show them people over there, so they would respect us:

The crowd roared in applause as Trump discussed the strike and blasted Democrats for attempting to curb the president's military power in Iran. Trump's rally came hours after the Democratic-led House passed a resolution aimed at curbing Trump's ability to wage war against Iran. Democrats have criticized Trump for not consulting Congress on the Soleimani strike and have accused him of recklessness.

Matthews never met a terrorist he didn't like.
Do you have any evidence for Matthews saying something like: "I don't dislike (insert name of terrorist.)?

He doesn't need to consult them, and their little resolution is just silly theater. Par for the course.

They have a point. Trump has repeatedly called the impeachment 'unconstitutional,' and his supporters are going with that as well. If congressional oversight during a Trump presidency is illegitimate in their view ('a coup') then the only legitimate part of the government is the executive. In this view, Congress is basically equivalent to the Roman Senate under the emperors--it exists as a servile cheering section and rubber stamp for the only real authority in the government. Not that most Trump supporters are aware of this historical parallel of course, but the sentiment is there regardless.

It's a fact that in the wake of the 9/11 attack, Congress gave the president the legal authority to pursue actions such as this killing. If Trump would rather brag to his wealthy bootlickers at Mar-a-Lago about his upcoming exploits than inform or consult with Congress, that's purely his prerogative.

Given the lack of evidence supporting the 'imminent' attack narrative, and the changing stories regarding what that attack supposedly was, it's highly probable that Trump ordered the killing not on the basis of valid intelligence, but to advance his own political interest: A significant distraction from the impeachment process, and he burnishes his image with his slack-jawed base. He would either become a 'war president' or the Shia fanatic regime in Iran would respond more or less symbolically, because, well, they're known for their cool thinking and restraint. Trump could thump his chest about protecting Americans, regardless. It was a win-win situation as far as he was concerned.

Trump appears to have bought Facebook. Maybe they will have featured lies now?

The more times you type 'Trump' online the more the algorithms will serve you that dish.

Trump is going to "read" a book. He got a free copy:
It turns out the volume in question is literally titled Donald J. Trump: An Environmental Hero, and it was written by Ed Russo, who worked as a consultant for Trump’s business.
