Re: Media Bias
Well one of the funny ones, if a bit 'meta' for my tastes, was using the acronym to make people think it was foreign aid. Calling it United States Agency for International Development was surely just a coincidence lol

Re: Media Bias
Show your evidence that it was somehow not about foreign aid.

How about doge?

I'm sure that billion or so to undisclosed recipients counts as 'foreign aid', but how could anyone think DEI scholarships count? I mean, unless the person was of a certain political alignment...USAID spends $40B+ of taxpayer dollars to fund foreign aid:
- $45mm to DEI scholarships in Burma
- $520mm for consultant-driven ESG investments in Africa
- $1.2bn in awards to undisclosed recipients

You know this stuff is public, right? I mean, this source is clearly 'right-wing', but I'm sure the left would find a similar expanse of bureaucratic bullshit if they look a bit.How the U.S. Government Spent your Tax Dollars in 2024:
-State Department spent $2.1 million on border security—for Paraguay.
-USAID is spending $20 million on “Ahlan Simsim” a new Sesame Street show in Iraq
-The National Endowment for the Arts awarded the Bearded Ladies Cabaret a
$10,000 grant to support a cabaret show on ice skates focused on climate change

Re: Media Bias
Yeahbut, I find the data itself useful in that it illustrates what a scam DOGE is running, How many expenditures in the millions will they need to drop to eliminate a $1.1 trillion deficit? Even the salaries they eliminate by laying off people won't cover the reduction from not extending the Trump tax cuts.

Re: Media Bias
Tax cuts for large corporations and wealthy individuals are very important if they're going to Make America Great Again though. If just about everybody else has to suffer, so be it.
Re: Media Bias
Right, because they'll use that money to create jobs and stuff, like Trump and Musk are doing.

Re: Media Bias
So the media bias aligns perfectly with the left again. Weird, I would have thought that even the left would doubt that 'border protection in Paruguay' was 'aid'. I thought the left didn't like borders at all...

Re: Media Bias
Yes, here is a great example.
Biden, in the US, was representing 'the left'.
The Biden laptop scandal was covered by a few news orgs, but supressed by many social media companies, and most news rooms.
You can just count any media who worked for Biden during that time, as 'the left'. Whatever their politics, they were working (hard!) for the left.
Re: Media Bias
More ridiculous left-wing bias, which will be firmly dismissed by the left, as unbiased lol

Of course NPR has been biased for a long time, but to see who else is biased, just look at who cannot see (or admit) itNPR’s Katherine Maher admits it’s ‘concerning’ that 100% of her editorial board—87 members—are registered Democrats, with zero Republicans.
NPR’s blatant partisan imbalance is unacceptable—taxpayers should not be forced to foot the bill for a one-sided echo chamber.
