If it's anything like Canada, government offices have PLENTY of employees who are shit, and smart enough to not get into a position where they can be fired.

This is a government town. Most of my loved ones work directly for government. My sweetheart is the best worker ever. I also know clear examples of the other kind.

Oh, I know. My last job was conducting investigations for the Justice Department. I think that one is important. In fact, that is the main reason I was doing it (the money was not all that relevant)

I'm painted as not appreciating the workings of government, when I count friends among the workers who do dishes at the Hospital (not government employees, instead minimum-wage hirelings of the contractor who runs the kitchen) or the elected officials, department heads and a bunch in between.
